Cairo are proud to announce that their studio photographer, Hossain Mahdavi, has won the prestigious London Portrait Group Photographer of the Year 2016.
In a statement, Rob said:
“I have known Hoss now some fifteen years when he did some shoots for a little known solo EP of mine, called Stay. He went on to do our wedding shoot in 2003, and many band shoots for Touchstone as was, and then more recently for my new band, Cairo.
He is creative, imaginative and edgy – and also such a lot of fun to work with. You can see more examples of his work at ‘www.hossphotography.com’, and I cannot recommend his work enough. He even won the top portrait award with a picture of yours truly many years ago – that’s how good he is…!
I am absolutely delighted for Hoss and his wife Tracy, and want to use this opportunity to say a big ‘thank you’ for their loyalty, support, talent and friendship. Hoping there will be more awards to follow – maybe with a Cairo shoot? You never know…”
