Cairo are delighted to announce that they will be performing a show at the exciting newly upgraded venue, Unit Nine, Bridgeturn Avenue, Old Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5QL on Sunday 5th June 2022.

On behalf of the band, Rob Cottingham advised:

“In 2019, I met Dom, one of the owners of this venue, and he kindly showed me their studio as well as all the building work which at that time was being done behind the scenes on developing the space into a bang up to date live music venue. It was all very impressive.

I had met him previously because they ran talent lessons for local school kids to help build confidence and creativity where any child was welcome irrespective – a laudable endeavour, which generated superb, and in some cases quite moving, results.

They were spending a fortune on the unit and we originally booked a gig there for March 2020. We had to take the difficult decision at the time, however to postpone, and in hindsight, it was the right thing to do.

At last, however, we have been able to sort out a new date for the gig with our good friends, White Sail, as Special Guests, and we are really looking forward to this one as – for those of you unfamiliar with the venue – it has a fantastic raised stage with the most amazing light and laser show, and a sound system underneath the stage which makes for a superb, and kicking, listening experience.

There is a licensed bar on premises and you can read all about it here:

There is plenty of parking right outside the venue, and it’s about a ten minute taxi ride from Central Milton Keynes train station.

Look forward to seeing you all!”

Sarah Bayley said:

“We will be playing old and new songs with a few ‘scarab’ surprises thrown in for good measure, but expect a party vibe to round off that Bank Holiday weekend when we celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

We look forward to seeing you all supporting live music and waving your Union Jacks. See you at the front, and God Save The Queen!”

Doors open 7pm. Buy your tickets now!
