On behalf of the band, Rob advised: “In celebration of our global release, we have published a brief new promo video based on an idea which I had a couple of months ago whilst travelling northbound on the A34 in the U.K. It’s amazing how inspirational a car journey can be, sometimes – and phenomenal how Crystal Spotlight have turned that vision into a stunning visual reality.

It is amazing to see how the band has progressed in one year. The hard work we have all put in reminds me of a famous Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt quote about ‘daring greatly’. Teddy was US President from 1901 to 1909 and was the youngest man at the time at the age of 42 to become President:
“It is not the critic who counts. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly…who, at worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly; so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.”
So, for sure Lisa, James, Paul, Graham and I have been ‘daring greatly’ and we are delighted at the reaction to our music, so far.

CAIRO is thrilled to announce that they will be playing the PROGDREAMS VII Festival at the Boerderij in Holland in the first weekend of March next year.
On behalf of the band, Rob stated: “At a personal level, I have wanted to play this venue for many years, having heard such great things about it – but never managed to get over there, so I am really looking forward to this. For the band, our Dutch market is the second biggest market for our CD sales in Europe after the UK. We have also had some stunning reviews in IOPages and Progwereld, so our music seems to be going down well over there, and we have been keen to find just such an opportunity. It will, therefore, be an absolute pleasure for Lisa, James, Paul, Graham and I to get over to Holland, make new friends and blow the roof off. We are all tremendously excited as this will also be the band’s first ever foreign jaunt – what a fantastic way to get our international gigs started.”
